What is FVD Speed Dial and what is it for?

FVD Speed Dial is a page with visual bookmarks (your favorite and most frequently visited sites). This page opens when you launch the browser and each time you open a new tab. You can categorize websites by theme, e.g. Recipes, Cinema, Health, and so on. Every site is a separate tile containing the site name, link and a special preview picture that will help you locate the site amongst others. You can also add your own background to such sites or select a nice theme from the ones available.

How to add a new dial?

Press the + button or select New Dial from the context menu (right-click anywhere on the dial).

I don’t quite like the 3D mode, how can I switch it off?

It’s easy! Go to “FVD Speed Dial Settings” – “Appearance” and set “Style” to “Standard”.

I don’t want FVD Speed Dial in the new tab all the time – I want to activate it only when I need it.

To do this, go to “FVD Speed Dial settings” – “Appearance” and uncheck “Display in new tab”. In this mode you need to click the FVD Speed Dial button to open a dial.

How do I remove empty “+” dials?

Go to “FVD Speed Dial Settings” – “Appearance” and uncheck “Show [+] speed dial button”. This suggestion only works for Standard theme! to deactivate Google Chrome’s default bookmark synchronization. This will help you avoid software conflicts when syncing.

How do I make it so that FVD Speed Dial always opens with one particular group?

Right-click on the desired group and check Default.

Can I move a dial into another group?

Sure! Simply right-click the dial and choose the group you need in “Move to” menu.

How to make sure a specific group opens every time?

Right-click on the required group and check Default.

Do you have a limit for the number of speed dials in a group?

There is no limit for groups, except the Popular group which only contains your most popular speed dials.

Can I sort groups?

Manual group sorting is available in FVD Speed Dial. Right-click on any group and select Manage groups. Then you will be able to determine a specific place for each group.

Can I switch speed dials places?

Yes, place your cursor on the required speed dial. Press and hold the left mouse button and move it to a new spot.

I see a blank screen instead of the FVD Speed Dial, why may that be?

This is most likely an internal browser problem. Please try reinstalling your browser. If the error persists, please contact our customer support service.

I do not like 3D mode. How do I switch back from it?

Open Settings. On the Appearance tab, select Standard in the Style menu.

How do I change the size of dials?

Open settings and go to the Background menu item. There you will be able to change background color or upload your own image.

I want the currency opened website to be added to FVD Speed Dial when the button is pressed.

No problem - you can change action for the FVD Speed Dial button in settings.

Can groups be switched places?

Right-click on any group and select Manage Groups.
In the window that opens drag the groups to where you want them.
Press Save.

How to enable/disable dial's preview auto update?

Right-click on the desired dial and select Edit. Then put a checkmark next to Auto Update and select the auto update interval.

You can also change auto update settings for all speed dials at once. Just open FVD Speed Dial settings and press Auto Update, then set the required update interval.

Can I search among speed dials?

Yes, just press the Search button. In the search field that appears, start entering letters to locate the required site faster. The search is done among URLs as well as website names.

Why does an additional tab sometimes appear and later disappear?

In this tab, a site opens and a preview is created. You can't create a preview in Google Chrome any other way. If you prefer, you can create a preview manually - by selecting one from our image database. If you are using previews from the actual sites, you can disable preview auto-refresh in settings.

FVD Speed Dial freezes when working in the browser. What can I do?

Your browser profile is likely damaged. Try creating a new profile - Reset Chrome settings to default - Google Chrome Help , but make a back-up through EverSync first.

How do I disable search?

Open settings and select the Appearance menu item. Then, uncheck Enable Search.

How to change speed dial size and font color?

Open settings and go to the Fonts tab. You can make font changes in the window that appears.

How do I save a backup as a text file?

Open settings and press Export in Main menu. Save the contents of the window into a text file. You can restore the data using menu item Import.

What's a widget?

Widgets are small apps that give you access to different information without exiting FVD Speed Dial.

How do I use widgets?

Open the widget panel and press the + button. Select required widgets from the gallery to set them up.

How do I delete widgets?

Press the Change button. Then press X next to the widgets you no longer need.

Can I set a passcode for FVD Speed Dial without anyone being able to see it?

How do I synchronize speed dials with another browser/computer?
